Under the generous patronage of His Excellency Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, and within the framework of the National Youth Development Initiative, and in cooperation with the Supreme Council for Youth and the Department of Non-Governmental Organizations, the Green Documents and Programs Team in Dhi Qar Governorate organized the Souq Al-Shuyukh Environmental Forum, a training on the effectiveness of modern agriculture in promoting sustainability, particularly the goal of life on land and climate change.

Nasiriyah is a distinguished city rich in biodiversity and contains some of the most important wetlands in the world (the marshes), which we hope will receive further attention, especially as they are part of international heritage.

The people of the governorate and its indigenous population have made exceptional efforts to confront climate change. The governorate offers many opportunities, thanks to its youth, its diverse land, and the commitment of its residents to its prosperity.
