The primary mission of our Applied Research Preparation unit is to serve as a high-fidelity data bridge between environmental realities and the halls of power. We execute comprehensive research projects that delve into the root causes of environmental degradation in Iraq, such as the relationship between upstream water policies, local agricultural practices, and subsequent internal displacement.
Our methodology is rigorous: we combine primary data collection (e.g., field surveys, water sampling) with extensive secondary source analysis (legal archives, satellite imagery). Key research products include detailed vulnerability assessments for specific provinces, economic valuation reports on ecosystem services, and comparative studies of international environmental laws relevant to Iraq’s context. Unlike traditional academic research, our studies conclude with explicit, policy-ready recommendations—a ‘Policy Blueprint’—detailing the necessary legislative, budgetary, and administrative steps required to achieve measurable environmental improvements.
